Before you buy a used RTX 4070 Super

  • Power: a 650W+ power supply with 12VHPWR (16-pin). Push the 16-pin plug fully home and avoid tight bends near the socket: badly seated plugs are the known cause of melted connectors.
  • Size: about 244mm long for the reference card; check the exact partner model against your case.
  • Proof it works: ask for a photo of the card running a benchmark (3DMark, FurMark or a game's FPS counter) with your eBay name on a note.
  • Temperatures: ask for GPU and hotspot temperatures under load and the memory junction temperature (GDDR6X runs hot; over 100°C means tired thermal pads).
  • Fans and coil whine: listen for rattling or grinding fans. Fans are cheap to replace; a dead GPU isn't.
  • Warranty: some makers transfer warranty to a second owner with the receipt. Listings that mention warranty are flagged above.
  • Pay safely: buy through eBay checkout (eBay Money Back Guarantee covers "not as described"), never by bank transfer.

Used RTX 4070 Super FAQ

How much is a used RTX 4070 Super worth?

On eBay UK the typical asking price for a used RTX 4070 Super is £705 including postage, with most listings between £680 and £807. That is from 6 current listings, cleaned of faulty cards and parts. The cheapest working one right now is £606.

What power supply do I need for a RTX 4070 Super?

NVIDIA recommends at least a 650W power supply for the RTX 4070 Super, which draws about 220W on its own. It takes 12VHPWR (16-pin). Factory-overclocked partner cards can draw more, so leave some headroom.

Will a RTX 4070 Super fit in my case?

The reference RTX 4070 Super is about 244mm long and 2 slots thick. Many partner cards (ASUS ROG Strix, MSI Suprim, Gigabyte Aorus) are 20-60mm longer, so check your case's maximum GPU length and the exact card model before buying.

Is a used RTX 4070 Super good for gaming in 2026?

Its performance score is 77/100 on our scale (100 = the fastest card we track), which as a rough guide means high settings at 1440p. It has 12GB of GDDR6X.
