Before you buy a used RX 6900 XT

  • Power: a 850W+ power supply with 2x 8-pin.
  • Size: about 267mm long for the reference card; check the exact partner model against your case.
  • Proof it works: ask for a photo of the card running a benchmark (3DMark, FurMark or a game's FPS counter) with your eBay name on a note.
  • Temperatures: ask for GPU and hotspot temperatures under load.
  • Fans and coil whine: listen for rattling or grinding fans. Fans are cheap to replace; a dead GPU isn't.
  • Mining history: this card was popular with miners. Not a deal-breaker, but ask, and prefer a tested listing with a fair return policy.
  • Warranty: some makers transfer warranty to a second owner with the receipt. Listings that mention warranty are flagged above.
  • Pay safely: buy through eBay checkout (eBay Money Back Guarantee covers "not as described"), never by bank transfer.

Used RX 6900 XT FAQ

How much is a used RX 6900 XT worth?

There are too few used RX 6900 XT listings on eBay UK today to give a reliable typical price. We check every day.

What power supply do I need for a RX 6900 XT?

AMD recommends at least a 850W power supply for the RX 6900 XT, which draws about 300W on its own. It takes 2x 8-pin. Factory-overclocked partner cards can draw more, so leave some headroom.

Will a RX 6900 XT fit in my case?

The reference RX 6900 XT is about 267mm long and 2.5 slots thick. Many partner cards (ASUS ROG Strix, MSI Suprim, Gigabyte Aorus) are 20-60mm longer, so check your case's maximum GPU length and the exact card model before buying.

Is a used RX 6900 XT good for gaming in 2026?

Its performance score is 68/100 on our scale (100 = the fastest card we track), which as a rough guide means high settings at 1440p. It has 16GB of GDDR6.

Was this card used for mining?

Cards from 2020-2022 were popular with crypto miners. Mining at a steady, undervolted load is not usually what kills a card, but fans and thermal pads wear. Ask the seller how it was used, look for fan noise or high memory temperatures, and prefer a listing that is tested, boxed or still under warranty. We flag listings that mention mining.
